since this is a blog and all i guess i should write something after partaking in some deep and profound and extensively extended soul searching nah i don’t have time for that tonight but i will say that i’ve come to a realization of sorts i’m not really writing for fly anglers or outdoorspeople anymore but the stuff i’m writing about just so happens to include fishing and hunting i guess i guess i guess i don’t know what i guess i guess i guess what else do i want to write about this post sorta reminds me of some something but i’m not sure what maybe i’ll think of it later or maybe i’ll forget all about it yeah i’ll probably forget but thats okay i guess i guess i guess they say that readers on the internet don’t like long paragraphs they say that your attention span is too short so if you’re still reading this i guess i guess i guess they’re wrong so what else did i want to write about its kind of weird that there is no snow on the ground here yet at least they’re making snow at the local ski resort took my son snowboarding the other day felt awesome to be doing that again somehow i didn’t crash once even hit a few jumps and almost got my 360s back can’t wait until the rest of the runs there are covered in snow something tells me that snowboarding is going to take a lot of my fly tying time away this winter thats okay i guess i guess i guess i have always been the last minute tying binge type of angler anyway keeps things interesting and simplified all at the same time well thats all i got gonna throw some popcorn in the microwave and listen to some music for a bit till its time to go to bed maybe work on one of the books in that big pile of unread books on my desk i guess i guess i guess unread books are a good problem to have
You can have worse problems than unread books, for sure.
i guess i like this piece, a lot
Gertrude Stein, Henry Miller’s early books. A few others would do this now and then.
“but the stuff i’m writing about just so happens to include fishing and hunting”
I like to think that’s all I’ve done for 15 years. Hasn’t got me many readers, but it has got me readers I appreciate.
Enjoying your blog.
“I found a stick” I’m wondering if I’m the only one that thought that was a compelling title.
Thanks, Ken. Haven’t read any of Miller’s stuff, but you’ve peaked my interest. Thanks, always looking for something to read.
And as far as titles go, I could probably do better on that one, but it isn’t often that you get the opportunity to title a post, “I Found a Stick.”
Take care
